
Our Mission
Who We Are
The South Bay Literacy Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in South Bay, Los Angeles. Our goal is to empower adults by teaching them effective English, reading, and writing skills, enabling them to confidently navigate the complexities of modern life.
Completely driven by volunteers, we proudly support residents in all 18 cities and communities of South Bay, including Torrance, Lomita, Harbor City, Wilmington, San Pedro, Carson, Gardena, Lawndale, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and El Segundo. Our committed volunteers provide tutoring at various convenient locations throughout the South Bay.
